Tommy Watson has spoken about his first competitive start for the club, saying that he wants to be named in the starting XI more often in the future and admitting that the Preston game didn't really suit his style of play.
GOOD MOMENT
“It’s a good moment but the game didn’t really suit my style of play and I didn’t get enough chances to get on my 1v1 duels, but it is a really good moment for me. That’s what this football club is all about, the trust that they are putting in players at such a young age and it is working really well."
RIGG AND BELLINGHAM
"I want to follow in Riggy and Jobe’s footsteps and become an established first-team player. Training levels are really high, and I’m blessed that this is the team that I’m making my breakthrough season. I’m blessed with these group of lads both on and off the pitch. The quality shows so I’m delighted to be around this playing environment."
WANT TO BE STARTING
“Ultimately, I want to be starting for the team so I’m going to do as much as I can in training and games to hopefully get there. I like to get goals and assists and show my qualities. Unfortunately, I don’t think I played to my full strengths but hopefully another opportunity will come soon.”
TRAVELLING FANS
“It was class, I was kicking down the opposite end first but in the second half, it was so loud. It gives you goosebumps walking out. The better experiences I get of maybe scoring a goal in front of them or even assisting, that will make it even better.”
