NEIL POST WATFORD

After costing us the game by giving away Watford's penalty, Dan Neil admitted it was a "daft mistake and a lack of concentration" in his post-match interview.

POOR START BUT THEN DOMINATED

“I thought we started a little bit slow, the first 15 or 20, but then we made a slight adjustment tactically and we kind of figured it out a bit. I thought in the last ten minutes of the first half, and the whole of the second half, we were really good and we were the better team. Obviously just a daft mistake and lack of concentration has cost us the game but I think we can take a lot of positives from the second half into Tuesday to bounce back.”

BOTH HAD CHANCES

“There were chances at both ends. I think they probably had the better of the chances first half, there were a few last ditch tackles and blocks, Trai Hume made a brilliant one. But second half I thought we dominated, our press was really good, we figured out how they wanted to play and we stopped it. Obviously we got the early goal and we were trying our best to get the second but obviously, like I said before, a bad decision in my own box has cost us that game. But like I said, we’ve got to take the positives from the second half and take them into Tuesday.”

ISIDOR IMPRESSED

“I thought his movement was really good today, especially in the second half, and he mixed it up with when to come short and when to go long. His movement in the box is always brilliant and he’s worked hard since coming in. With Eliezer picking up a little niggle he’s got his chance today and he took it with a goal. Obviously all the lads have congratulated him on his first goal and hopefully he does the business again on Tuesday night.”

ONTO TUESDAY

“There were positives from the game. Thankfully it’s a quick turnaround. We’ll still watch it back and see what we could have done better, especially them first 20 minutes, have a look at it, put this one to bed and hopefully go and take three points on Tuesday night.”
