Régis Le Bris has been awarded with the EFL Championship Manager of the Month for October, the second time our head coach has been given the accolade this season after previously having won it in August.
The Frenchman led us to a highly successful month, in which just three goals were conceded in an unbeaten five matches and the team picked up 13 points from a possible 15. Notable moments included a last minute equaliser to Leeds United due to a goalkeeping error and a win away to Luton Town with the 2-1 victory seeing all of its goals coming in just an 11 minute period in the second half.
Le Bris beats out Daniel Farke, Paul Heckingbottom and Omer Riza for the achievement, who all also had unbeaten months with their respective sides. Here's what the gaffer had to say:
“This award represents the hard work and performances of the players and staff throughout the Club. We are pleased with the progress we have made during the start of the season, but we understand there are still many games remaining and greater challenges ahead of us. We need to stay very consistent, but there is a willingness to improve within the building and this will serve us well moving forward.”
