£20,000 RAISED SO FAR...

As sales of the brand-new Mackem Cewkbewk soar, not just on Wearside but across the globe, the first donation from the book’s proceeds has been made to Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen via Roker Report's 2024 Christmas Fundraiser.

Thanks to every single person who has bought a copy since its launch at the end of October, £20,000 has been handed over to the charity, which operates a hot food service four days a week for those in need on Wearside.

The Mackem Cewkbewk — written by the excellent Paul Swinney and produced by the team at A Love Supreme — has become the must-have item on every Mackem’s Christmas list this December. As such, sales have skyrocketed, all in aid of a fantastic cause.

Featuring Mackem favourites such as Pink Slice, Panackalty, and Pease Pudding, the book offers a touch of childhood nostalgia that every Mackem needs on their shelf this winter.

The donation of £20,000 brings this year’s fundraising total to over £37,000, with the GoFundMe campaign running until the end of December. You can donate by CLICKING HERE.

The book remains on sale for just £15, available online or in-store at the A Love Supreme shop. If you haven’t yet secured your copy in time for Christmas, grab one now to make sure you don’t miss out. You can ORDER YOURS HERE.
