the ganterbury ale The GANTERBURY TALES
wooly back travelogue nonsense

"A while back ALS printed an article about an away trip in the 70s, which sounded very familiar - basically, change the names and the start point, and many of us have had very similar experiences. This got me and my pal Derek thinking - virtually every ground we've been to over the last thirty years or so brings back memories which are not necessarily to do with the football side of things. We began to run through the league alphabetically, and came up with a weird social comedy that stretched from the early 70s to current day. Every away match had at least one tale to tell, so we decided to have a go at making a permanent record of them. If anyone recognises themselves in any of these stories, thanks for the memories, and I hope the details are correct!"
